Aluminium Stock Range

Aluminium Grades

Besides the vast aluminium stock range profiles, some profiles are also available in different aluminium grades. Common aluminium alloy grades in stock include;

1000 series

This is the purest of the aluminium alloys with a minimum content of 99%. It offers extremely high corrosion resistance with high thermal and electrical conductivity.

2000 series

Has copper as the main alloying element. Renowned for its high performance and excellent strength through a broad range of temperatures.

3000 series

Features aluminium alloyed with manganese. It offers moderate strength with good corrosion resistance. Can be used at higher temperatures than other series.

4000 series

Contains silicon as the main alloying element. It has a low melting point making it ideal for casting, welding wires and construction panels.

5000 series

Alloyed with manganese and magnesium. Non-heat treatable aluminium alloy. Very good weldability and corrosion resistance with marine environments.

6000 series

Alloyed with manganese and silicon. This series of aluminium is heat treatable and is one of the most versatile aluminium alloys.

7000 series

This is the highest strength aluminium alloy commercially available. It is alloyed with zinc and a small amount of magnesium.

8000 series

Has similar properties to the 1000 series, but with higher strength, better formability and improved stiffness.
