COVID 19 Announcement

The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is causing concern and turbulence around the world. At this time, I wanted to personally inform you that we at thyssenkrupp Materials UK have taken strong action to control the situation, in order to protect the health, safety and the wellbeing of our people, customers and partners and at the same time, ensure the continuity of our business.

We are closely monitoring the evolving Coronavirus pandemic and are taking numerous measures to mitigate its impact. For example, we have suspended all travel, face-to-face meetings and attendance at any gatherings or events. We have also limited visitor access to our sites to the absolutely business critical and we encourage our people to work from home whenever feasible. Where we have employees still working we have instructed them to follow the social distancing rules and hygiene best practice.

Our aim is to avoid any interruption to our production, deliveries and other daily activities. We have contingency plans in place to ensure continued customer service also during these exceptional times. So far, we have been able to continue our operations largely as usual and do not foresee any change to that in the short term, including supply of essential parts to our customers involved in supply of medical equipment to support the NHS. We are in a continuous dialogue with our key stakeholders, including customers, partners and suppliers across the globe, to monitor the situation and implement new procedures if needed. Thank you for your continued cooperation and active engagement in this area.

We are confident that with proper preventative measures and continuing good collaboration between companies and authorities, we will be able to navigate through this exceptional period of time and eventually return to a more normal state of business. Meanwhile, we at thyssenkrupp make every effort to fulfil our commitments to our employees, customers, partners and other stakeholders.
