Box Section

Stainless steel box sections come in a variety of grades which include 316,430 and 304. They also come in different sizes and thyssenkrupp offers cut-to-length options depending on the needs of the customer. Stainless steel box sections come in descaled, dull polish and mirror polish finishes.

Stainless steel box sections present the same properties as stainless steel with added strength because of the design of the box section.

Stainless steel box sections have various uses. They are commonly used for shop fittings, furniture making and making frames. The applications can vary depending on the grade of stainless steel you purchase.

Channels

Channels are the most popular among stainless steel products. Channels have a variety of applications because of their strength and ability to resist corrosion. Some of the applications of stainless steel channels include reinforcing walls in metal buildings, as rafters for roofs, window and door frames, vehicle frames, and trailers and extensively in the construction industry.

Unequal Angle

thyssenkrupp supplies unequal angles stock lengths however, we can have the materials delivered cut-to-length depending on your requirements. The standard finish is descaled but we can also supply in dull polish.

Unequal angles are used for their strength, durability and ability to withstand harsh conditions. They are used in various applications including architecture and construction and in chemical tankers among others.

Depending on the application, the lengths of either side of the angle, the size, thickness and weight can all vary.

Square Bar

Stainless steel bars have excellent strength, have high resistance to rust and  with the right equipment are relatively easy to fabricate with which is why they are often used in the manufacturing and engineering industries.

thyssenkrupp stocks a wide variety of stainless steel square bars in alloys 316, 304, 321, and 316ti. Our square bars are available in varying thickness and are supplied in mill finish.

Sheet and Plate

thyssenkrupp has a comprehensive range of stainless steel sheets and plates for various applications.

We supply 304 2B stainless steel sheets, 304  brushed stainless steel sheets and 304 mirrored stainless steel sheets. Stainless Steel sheets are commonly used in food production and storage.

Stainless steel plates are extensively used in car manufacturing and the aviation industry because of their strength and durability. Stainless steel plates are often used for structural sections in railways, trucks, ships and military vehicles. The 304 stainless steel plate and the 304 stainless steel floor plate are the most common.

Round Tube

Stainless steel round tubes are used for their aesthetic and structural characteristics.

The diameter of the round tube ranges from 19mm to 6” has and we stock stainless steel round tubes in varying wall thickness from 1.2mm to 3.0mm.

Round Bar

Stainless steel round bars are used in many applications. They are used to make supports, railings, handles, concrete footings, braces and beams.

Grade 303 stainless steel round bar is easy to machine and doesn’t stick to cutting tools. It has excellent corrosion resistant and is ideal for applications that require the material to be repeatedly machined.

Grade 304 stainless steel has impressive tensile strength, is highly resistant to rust and has good fabrication characteristics. Most applications use this grade of round bar because it’s cost effective and versatile.

Treadplate

Treadplates known are thick plates designed to reduce slipping by having a pattern on one side of the plate.

The plates come in different alloys of stainless steel which include 316 and 304. thyssenkrupp has an extensive range of stainless steel tread plates ready for shipping.

The plates have both structural and aesthetic applications. They can be used as cladding for walls and ceilings and also for decoration. The plates can also be used as flooring in vehicles and buildings to increase aesthetic appeal and durability.

Flat Bar

thyssenkrupp supplies a wide range of stainless steel flat bars in various lengths as well as cut-to-length options. Our range includes flat bars in grades 304 and 316 stainless steel. The flat bars come in various thickness of between 3mm – 12mm and widths of between 12 – 150mm suited for various applications.

Flat bars can be used for various applications. They are commonly featured in general fabrications, the food industry, construction and marine environment. They are preferred because of their sheer strength, high rust and corrosion resistance and a favourable aesthetic appeal. In the food industry, flat bars are used because they are easy to clean and disinfect.

Equal Angle

Stainless steel equal angles are common in metal construction. They are used in various agricultural applications, in making metal brackets and frames and they are an essential part of making steel chassis and other parts of machines.

The angles have the same qualities and properties as stainless steel but have enhanced strength because of their shape.
